Just like in winter, Z felt no urge to go home. Although he wouldn't be able to enjoy the spring sun and the blooming flowers, he didn't care. He was looking foward to the Spring Carnival. This was the time when the most students stayed... for the carnival. Those cheap thrill rides, most likely rigged games, fatty foods and you just can't forget the 'freak' shows.
He really couldn't wait. Ever since he was a kid he always loved the carnival. Saving up his quarters to play the big-kid games and ride the big-kid rides. Now he just mostly remembered those times when he actually got along with his family.
Long ago, the snowball posters were taken down, replaced with posters advertising other random things and now they were advertising the carnival.
Z stood at his window, staring down at the crews that were setting up the carnival. It would be finished by that night... He grinned, finishing pulling his shirt on and started out of his dorm, heading towards the cafeteria for brunch.
